Gurgaon celebrates World Car Free Day!

Today, September 22, is World Car-Free Day and millennium city, Gurgaon, is celebrating it with the pledge that every Tuesday, between 7 am and 7 pm, it will not bring out its cars to combat both air pollution and nightmare traffic jams. However, cars are not banned. Different agencies have taken up roles to promote the initiative.On ‘car-free day’, on-street parking will not be available as a way to incentivise the use non-motorised and public transport.
