Kolkata: The Kolkata Police have made the third arrest in the hit-and-run case involving the son of a former RJD MLA.

The Special Investigation Team sleuths arrested prime accused Sambia Sohrab's friend Johny from an undisclosed location early Tuesday.


Johny had, reportedly, released a video while he hiding, in which he revealed that Sambia was behind the wheel of the Audi car when it mowed down 21-year-old IAF corporal Abhimanyu Gaud . Sambia was also drunk, Johny had claimed.


Yesterday, the Kolkata Police had arrested Shahnawaz alias Sonu from Delhi. Sonu was also in the car when the accident occurred during on 13 January, the rehearsal of Republic Day parade.


The brand new white Audi broke three guard rails and barged into the parade rehearsal before fatally hitting the IAF officer.


Meanwhile, reported added that Sambia is not cooperating with the probe.
