Kolkata: A small fire broke out in the integrated cargo complex of the domestic terminal at the NSC Bose International airport on Sunday evening.
An airport official said the smoke, which was seen inside the complex at around 7.20 pm, triggered panic but fizzled out in another five minute's time.
A fire tender rushed to the terminal building at around 7.45 pm but did not have to intervene.
The smoke, which came off a Goods X ray machine, was believed to have been caused by a sudden short circuit.
