The Archbishop of Kolkata, Thomas D'Souza, told DNA, “A one-member delegation from Vatican City will be reaching the Kolkata airport on Wednesday afternoon. Thereafter, he would leave for Ranaghat in Nadia district and meet the nun at the hospital and the students of the Convent of Jesus and Mary.”

The Archbishop had yesterday participated in a rally in Kolkata to show solidarity with the victim.

Even after three days of the incident, no arrest has been made by the police so far.

The police has announced a reward of Rs 1 lakh for providing credible information leading to the arrest of the accused.

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee had ordered a CID probe into the incident.

Meanwhile, the condition of the nun, who is under treatment at the Ranaghat sub-divisional hospital, is improving, doctors have said.
