Islamabad: At least 18 people were killed and several others injured on Sunday when a bus carrying a wedding party fell into a ravine in a hilly area of Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.

The bus carrying around 50 people was on way to Hajeera from Palandri for a wedding ceremony when the accident occured near Muzaffarabad.


At least 18 people were killed and 30 others injured in the mishap which was caused by overload and reckless driving, police said.


Local authorities said the death toll could rise as many of the injured are in critical condition.
