“BJP has given many OBC CMs, we have even given an OBC PM. We support the backward, the poor,” he said, adding, “To take focus away from development agenda, some statements are being highlighted on beef or reservation.”

Shah said he wants to say to those who are trying to distort messaging in Bihar that BJP has worked for Dalits and backwards.

The BJP president said even today Bihar is very backward when it comes to a lot of issues.

“That is what we will focus on when we come to power. During the entire election process, the primary issue has been of development,” he said.

On his assessment about NDA's performance in the first two phases of voting, Shah said, “In the first phase of polling we are winning 32-34 seats, in second phase winning 22-24 seats.”

He also took the opportunity to take a dig at the 'Mahagathbandan'. "If Nitish ji comes back in the government then Lalu ji will run the government via a remote control," he said.
