As per a report in the Daily Mail, the migrants had images of ‘executions’ and ‘severed heads’ on their cell phones.

The news confirms fears expressed earlier that the Islamic State may be exploiting the refugee crisis to infiltrate into Europe.

Last month’s Paris attacks too had served a warning to that effect.

Police in Europe have not been able to carry out thorough checks of asylum-seekers as their number was overwhelming.

However, a simple scan of mobile phones of several refugees and migrants revealed ‘photos and videos of executions and brutal punishments, such as images of people holding up severed heads or hands’, the report stated.

Pictures of dead children and other acts of war, crimes and terrorism were also found.
