Washington: US President Barack Obama will travel to Ottawa next month for a "Three Amigos" North American summit with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Mexican President

Enrique Pena Nieto, the White House said today The White House said Obama will also address a joint session of parliament while in the Canadian capital for the June 29 summit.


"The summit is further recognition of the value of a more integrated North America to advance the security and prosperity of the continent," a White House statement said.


"It also highlights the importance of continuing to strengthen the bilateral and trilateral ties between United States, Canada, and Mexico."


The last "Three Amigos" summit was hosted by Pena Nieto in 2014 in Toluca, Mexico.
