Policeman killed in Egypt`s Fayoum Governorate

Cairo: A policeman has been shot dead by unknown gunmen in al-Azizia village in Egypt's Fayoum Governorate.

The victim, identified as Sherif Goma, was on his way to work when the gunmen attacked him yestereday, primary investigations showed, according to security sources.

The attacks targeting police and military has increased after the ouster of Islamist former president Mohamed Morsi in 2013.

Over 600 security personnel have been reportedly killed since then.
