No, not the one that sunk way back in 1912.

But a replica of RMS Titanic, dubbed Titanic II.

As per a report in The Independent, the ship would be a fully functioning replica of the original Titanic that set sail on its maiden journey in 1912 before sinking in the North Atlantic Ocean.

The brain behind Titanic II is Australian billionaire Clive Palmer and his firm, Blue Star Line.

While the new ship will be a near-exact replica of the original Titanic, it will be wider by four metres.

To meet the present-day maritime requirements, Titanic II's hull will be welded together rather than riveted.

Keeping in mind the disaster that the original ship met on its maiden journey, Titanic II will have enough lifeboats and boast of marine evacuation systems.

The boat deck, meanwhile, will have replicas of 1912 Titanic's lifeboats to create the old-world charm.

The Belfast Telegraph reported that Titanic II will be 270 metres long and 53 metres high and will weigh around 40,000 tonnes.

The ship will have, like the original Titanic, first, second and third class cabins.

Total number of cabins on the ship will stand at 840, spread over nine floors.

The ship will have the capacity to accommodate 2,400 passengers and 900 crew members.

Among amenities on the ship would include a swimming pool, Turkish baths and gyms.

The ship would undertake its first journey from Jiangsu in Eastern China to Dubai - the original Titanic had sailed from Southampton to New York on its maiden journey.

The 1912 Titanic had sunk on its maiden voyage after it collided with an iceberg in the North Atlantic Ocean. Over 1,500 passengers and crew onboard the ship were killed.
