Six killed, three injured in Vietnam torrential rains

Hanoi: At least six persons were killed and three others injured in torrential rains in Vietnam, authorities said on Monday.

The rainfall occurred in the country`s northern and north-central regions over the past few days, triggered by an inter-tropical convergence zone, Xinhua news agency reported.

Some places received 200-400 mm of rain.
