Watch: How drivers in China avoid fatal road collapse
A local traffic policeman, who was on duty, spotted cracks on the road and signalled the drivers to move in different directions thus avoiding a collapse and possible mishap in Hangzhou province.
New Delhi: Hundreds of people across the globe die due to road accidents daily. However, timely action can save many precious lives.
Chinese cops presented a perfect example of the above by alerting high-speed cars coming from the opposite directions after a sudden road collapse formed a 2-meter deep hole near a busy intersection in downtown district of Hangzhou, provincial capital of eastern China’s Zhejiang Province.
The video shows a large portion of a crossroad collapsing on Thursday.
Fortunately, just minutes ahead of the collapse, a local traffic policeman with the help of his colleague, who was on patrolling duty at that time, spotted cracks on the road and signalled the drivers to move in different directions thus avoiding a collapse and possible mishap.
