Sports museum in Kolkata to have Sachin Tendulkar, PV Sindhu`s memorabilia
Besides his prized gloves, the Indian cricket maestro has also donated his bat, sweater, jerseys among other things for the museum which will be formally opened on January 29.
Kolkata: Be it Sachin Tendulkar's 100th century gloves or PV Sindhu's Olympic silver medal-winning jersey, sports lovers in eastern India will now have the opportunity to see them at an upcoming sports museum at Ecospace.
Besides his prized gloves, the Indian cricket maestro has also donated his bat, sweater, jerseys among other things for the museum which will be formally opened on January 29.
The 'Fanattic Sports Museum' will also house memorabilia from India's only Olympic individual gold medal winner Abhinav Bindra, the only Paralymian of the country to win two gold medals Devendra Jhajaria.
Memorabilia of Rio Paralympic silver medalist shot-putter Deepa Malik, Indian cricketers like Ajinkya Rahane, Ravichandran Ashwin, Karun Nair, Olympic medalist boxers Vijender Singh and Mary Kom will also be seen in the museum.
The collection will also house memorabilia former India batsman VVS Laxman, badminton coach Pullela Gopichand and former India captain and Kolkata's favourite son Sourav Ganguly.
