The two set the silverscreen ablaze as a flamboyant couple in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram Leela in 2013. There were a number of lip-locks between the two in the Indianised version of William Shakespeare’s Romeo Juliet. They spun the same magic again with their matured romance in SLB’s Bajirao Mastani. And we have seen them walk hand-in-hand at various high-profile parties.

Bhansali’s Padmaavat controversial film stars Deepika and Ranveer. But in this film, Deepika, who plays Rani Padmini (or Rani Padmavati) has been paired with Shahid Kapoor who essays Rajput warrior Maharawal Ratan Singh while Ranveer plays the main antagonist Alauddin Khilji.


Though this is both Deepika and Ranveer’s third film with Bhansali, they wouldn’t be sharing screen space in it.
