Live: CBI interrogates Sushant`s cook, asks what happened on June 13

After the Supreme Court ordered for a CBI probe into Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput`s death case, a Special Investigation Team (SIT) of officials arrived in Mumbai on Thursday.

  • According to sources, CBI to quiz Sushant's cook Neeraj on what happened a day before the actor's death. The officials are interrogating about the activities of June 13 from the cook for past three hours. 

  • CBI team takes all the necessary documents from Mumbai police including Sushant's post mortem report, forensic report, diaries, laptop, phone, the clothes actor was wearing at the time of his death, the green cloth allegedly used for hanging, bedsheet, juice mug, plate in which he had food, statements recorded by all the witnesses and the CCTV footage of the building. 

  • The Bombay High Court on Friday disposed of a bunch of Public Interest Litigations (PILs) seeking various reliefs, including a CBI probe into the death of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput.

    A bench of Chief Justice Dipankar Datta and Justice Revati Mohite-Dere said that considering that the Supreme Court had already directed the CBI to probe the matter, nothing remained for the HC to decide, reports PTI.

    The bench also said that if the petitioners felt that the Maharashtra government, the Mumbai Police, or the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) was not cooperating with the CBI, they could approach the Supreme Court.

  • Sushant's sister Priyanka records her statement at the Enforcement Directorate (ED) headquarters in New Delhi, as per sources.

  • Sushant's diaries, mobile, laptop etc have been handed over to CBI officer Anil Yadav by the Mumbai police inspector Bhushan Belnekar.

     

  • It has been learnt from sources that DCP Dahiya's statement will also be recorded by the CBI officials in connection with not taking Sushant's brother-in-law OP Singh's complaint seriously.
     

  • According to sources, the CBI will also probe the role of Sandip Ssingh the 'self-proclaimed' friend of Sushant. 

  • The CBI team officials have reportedly contacted Sushant's cook Neeraj and will record his statement today. It has been learnt that Neeraj was present in the house on June 14, 2020, when Sushant died. 

     

  • The CBI team investigating Sushant Singh Rajput's death case arrived in Mumbai on Thursday evening and is expected to begin probe today.
     

New Delhi: After the Supreme Court ordered for a CBI probe into Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput's death case, a Special Investigation Team (SIT) of officials arrived in Mumbai on Thursday. The CBI officials will reportedly stay at the DRDO guest house in the Santa Cruz area of the city.

The CBI team, led by CBI Superintendent of Police Nupur Prasad has formed three teams to take the investigation forward, according to sources. The first team will examine all the case diaries, related to the case, that it got from the Mumbai Police, forensic report of Mumbai and autopsy report.


The central probe agency team is accompanied by a five-member forensic team. Reportedly, the CBI team can first go to the late actor's Bandra residence and recreate the scene.


Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead at his Bandra residence on June 14, 2020.
