Gupta penned a longish note for Salman Khan on Twitter in which he praised Salman's humanitarian qualities and called him "a real-life Rajinikanth".

Sharing his message on her Twitter handle, Shilpa Shinde wrote, "सच है कानून के हाथ बहुत लंबे हैं लंबी चलने वाली चीजों को पकड़ते हैं।
Feels great to see that very handful people like you, putting their heart out for a nice person, rather than putting politically correct statements."

Shilpa Shinde and Vikas Gupta were the most entertaining contestants in the Bigg Boss house. Their love-hate relationship became an instant hit among the viewers. Although Vikas and Shilpa did not start on a positive note, their relationship took a positive turn towards the end of the show. Their chemistry which was totally unintended from their end, was loved by the audience. They lovingly called them 'Shikas' and created various fan clubs on social platforms like Twitter and Instagram.  But even before they could come out of the show, they drifted apart owing to differences of opinion.

Vikas and Shilpa had even promised to do a show together inside the Bigg Boss house but that didn't happen. However, the fans have not lost hope and still wish to seem them together in a television show.

The duo rarely makes public appearances post their stint in Bigg Boss but this welcoming move by Shilpa Shinde can mend their strained relationship.

Salman Khan was fond of Shilpa Shinde and he supported her all through the show. He even helped her with her pending cases post the show. After his conviction, Shilpa Shinde too expressed her shock over jail term saying, "Punishing a good human being is not acceptable. Animal poaching is ever increasing, jungles are cut in the name of urban development, isn't it leading to wildlife killing, who will be punished for that?."
