Demonetisation: Such calls from `Income Tax department` may be fake

 New Delhi: Fraudsters have found one more ploy for cheating people and are using demonetisation as an opportunity and attempting to extract confidential information like bank details from common public.

A WhatsApp message going viral warns people to inform all colleagues, family or friends that if they receive any call allegedly from Income Tax department, and the caller seeks your address , bank details or any other information, then please ask the caller to send you a written notice. “Please be careful as due to demonetisation, this has started", adds the WhatsApp message.
