The 1983 World Cup

India's biggest triumph in cricket came in 1983 when Kapil Dev's, popularly called Kapil's Devils, shocked the world by beating the two-time World Champions West Indies in the final in England to clinch the then called Prudential Cup. That moment in history changed Indian cricket forever.

India winning 2011 World Cup

What a glorious moment in Indian sports. India waited a long 28 years for their 2nd ICC ODI World Cup title and it came under MS Dhoni's captaincy. India beat Sri Lanka in the final by 6 wickets to win the contest at Wankhede stadium, giving Sachin Tendulkar a World Cup medal, at last. Fans celebrated in streets and roads as if Diwali had arrived early.

Neeraj Chopras gold medal at Tokyo Olympics

87.58m. It took this much distance of throw from the golden arm of Neeraj Chopra to clinch India's second only individual gold medal in Olympics. And India's first-ever in Athletics. Javelin star Neeraj became a cult figure then and there in Tokyo when he won the competition and made national anthem ring at the stadium.

Abhinav Bindras gold medal in Beijing

Abhinav Bindra brought smiles on a billion faces when he clinched India's first individual gold medal at the Olympics in Beijing. He had won it in 10m air rifle shooting, which remains India's best show in the sport till now. Definitely, among the best moments in India's sporting history.

PV Sindhus silver and bronze medals in Olympics

India's start shuttler PV Sindhu is a rare athlete. She is the first-ever Indian woman to win two Olympic medals. And she did it in back-to-back Olympics. Sindhu won the silver medal in Rio in 2016 and brought bronze from Tokyo, five years later. These two moments remain one of the glorious moments in Indian sport.
