Operation Muskan: 122 kids from Kota, Bundi districts rescued
In Bundi, 43 children have been rescued, said in-charge of the district`s anti-human trafficking cell Kaniz Fatima.
Kota: As many as 122 children from Kota and Bundi districts, who had gone missing, have been rescued under an ongoing special drive, 'Operation Muskan III', officials have said.
Many of these children have been reunited with their families under the month-long initiative, they said.
As many as 79 minors have been rescued in Kota, which included 42 children who were working as labourers, said in- charge of the anti-human trafficking cell in the district Dharmraj Singh Ranawat.
In Bundi, 43 children have been rescued, said in-charge of the district's anti-human trafficking cell Kaniz Fatima.
She said 11-year-old Pooja and her brother (8) were allegedly forced to work as bonded labourers for over a year by a woman identified as Suman Sharma (60).
The boy was rescued on July 22 from Ramganjbalaji after he managed to flee Sharma's home. Based on his information, officials of the anti-human trafficking cell rescued his sister and arrested the accused woman, Fatima said, adding the two siblings were reunited with their mother.
The accused was on Monday produced before a local court that sent her to judicial custody, she said.
'Operation Muskan?III' started on July 1 across Rajasthan to rescue children who had either gone missing or fled home.
