Cho Ramaswamy was a multi-dimensional film personality
Cho Ramaswamy tickled people`s funny bone with his impeccable comic timing and expressions.
Mumbai: Former Rajya Sabha member, political satirist, playwright, journalist and editor of Thuglak magazine - Srinivasa Iyer Ramaswamy – famous as Cho Ramaswamy breathed his last on Wednesday morning at around 4 AM at Apollo Hospital in Chennai. He was also an accomplished actor best known for his comic performances.
Cho, who made his debut in films with Paar Magale Paar has been a part of over 80 movies and has worked with some of the most iconic actors in the Tamil film industry including MG Ramachandran and Jayalalithaa. He tickled people's funny bone with his impeccable comic timing and expressions.
He has also directed a few movies - Mohammed Bin Thuglak, Unmaiye Un Vilai Enna, Mr Sampath, Yarukkum Vetkam Illai, Sambo Siva Samboo - and written screenplays of films namely Thenmazhai, Ninaivin Nindraval, Bommalattam, Aayiram Poi, Panam Paththum Seyyum.
He was also into conceptualising TV shows and one the latest was ‘Engey Brahmanan?’.
It is indeed a coincidence that Cho, who was late Jayalalithaa’s close friend, was admitted to Apollo Hospital where the late CM of Tamil Nadu was being treated. Jayalalithaa breathed her last on Monday night.
