Filmmaker B Ashok Kumar commits suicide

New Delhi: Kollywood film producer and director B. Ashok Kumar allegedly committed suicide at his residence in Chennai`s Alwarthirunagar on Tuesday.

He was reportedly being harassed and threatened by a financier, with whom he was associated for more than seven years.Ashok Kumar, a cousin of popular Tamil cinema director Sasikumar, has co-produced his films, including `Eesan`, `Poraali` and the yet-to-be-released `Kodi Veeran`.
