According to a report in the Express, ALE says shooting stars will be available from spring 2020, although the price remains unclear. On its website, ALE wrote that they aim to produce artificial shooting stars by projecting particles, made out of special materials, from orbiting micro-satellites.

When the particles re-enter the earth’s atmosphere, they burn through a process known as plasma emission, creating the appearance of shooting stars on the ground, ALE website states.

As per the report, ALE said, 'We aim to deliver our shooting stars on demand, anywhere in the world. The shooting stars particles burn up completely 60-80 km above the Earth and will be visible by people in an area around 200km in diameter.'

According to Tech Times, each artificial meteor shower' show will cost a whopping Rs 25,97,400 ($40,000). Patrick Seitzers, an astronomer from University of Michigan astronomer showed concerned over the artificial meteor showers and said that it is a bad idea from "an orbital degree standpoint" as it can contribute to overcrowding in the low-earth orbit in the next decade.
