New Delhi: Looking at his posts, seems like French astronaut Thomas Pesquet is having the time of his life aboard the International Space Station (ISS).

The space first-timer has been grabbing every opportunity to capture the beauty of planet Earth at its best and sharing some of the most amazing visuals from his vantage point.


Who can blame him? The view from up there is something else altogether and the images itself have managed to enrapture space and science enthusiasts.


This time, it is a night view of Italy that has captured the astronaut's heart. Sharing the stunning view, he wrote: “#Italy ranks high in my list, both on the earth and from space!”

Thomas Pesquet is aboard NASA's orbiting laboratory as a part of Expedition 50. Him and his two crew members, which include NASA's Peggy Whitson and Roscosmos's Oleg Novitskiy, left for the ISS on the Soyuz MS-03 spacecraft on November 18.
