New Delhi: A court here has set January 18 to hear arguments on issue of framing of charges in the 2000 match-fixing scandal case in which former South African captain Hansie Cronje and five other were charge sheeted.
Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Sanjay Khanagwal posted the matter for consideration on charge for January 18, court sources said Tuesday.
The court direction came after Delhi Police informed it that copies of documents filed along with the charge sheet have been supplied to the accused.
Delhi Police in July 2013 charge sheeted Cronje, Rajesh Kalra, Sanjeev Chawla, Manmohan Khattar, Sunil Dara and Kishan Kumar for cheating and criminal conspiracy.
Proceedings have been abated against Cronje, who died in a plane crash in 2002.
