Patna: Ruling NDA members on Thursday created a din in the Assembly after the government said that complaints of blackmarketing of foodgrains from five godowns in Bihar`s East Champaran district in August 2011 were being investigated.
Replying to the call attention notice, Food and Consumers Protection minister Shyam Rajak said the department had received complaints about black marketing of foodgrains from five godowns in August 2011 and the state vigilance department was probing them after registration of an FIR. The minister said the state food corporation`s assistant godown manager Rajendra Pandey and a district manager had been transferred.
NDA members expressed annoyance over the minister`s reply and demanded immediate suspension of Motihari Sadar SDO for allegedly patronising black marketing after seizure of foodgrains in August last year. As the din continued in the house, Speaker Uday Narayan Choudhury adjourned the issue for reply next day.
