New Delhi/Lucknow: Mulayam Singh Yadav on Monday said that his Samajwadi Party will make its stand clear on Presidential polls only after candidates’ names are announced.
He was responding to a question during a press conference after the party’s parliamentary board’s meet. Clarifying his earlier remarks, Mulayam said, “I had said the candidate should be a political leader, from a political party, and not a bureaucrat.” On the striking down of minority quota by the Andhra High Court, Mulayam said his party supports Sachchar Committee recommendations.
Muslims are backward and they need reservation, he added.
