New Delhi: BCCI secretary Anurag Thakur on Monday said that the Asia Cup T20 tournament will be held in February, next year, before the ICC World T20 but the venue is yet to be finalised.

"The Asia Cup will be held in mid-February, next year.


However we have not decided the venue of the tournament. It could be Bangladesh or it could be India also. It will be decided in some time," Thakur said on the sidelines of the selection committee meeting.


Zaheer Khan set to be felicitated:


BCCI will organise a felicitation ceremony for Zaheer Khan, who recently announced his retirement from international cricket. The BCCI will felicitate Zaheer for his achievements during the fifth and final ODI between India and South Africa at the Wankhede Stadium on October 25.


A call on selection committee:


BCCI secretary Anurag Thakur said that they have not yet decided on whether the current selection panel under Sandeep Patil will continue till the World T20 next year to maintain continuity or a new panel will be announced at the AGM of the BCCI in Mumbai on November 9.


"There is still sometime. There could be changes but it all depends," he said.
