New Delhi: Australian cricket team created history on Wednesday by beating India in the 4th ODI of the bilateral series as it has become first side to remain undefeated in 19th consecutive ODI matches at home.

The Australian side has won 18 of their last 19 matches, while, one match ended without a result.


The Aussies last lost at their home soil in November 2014 at the WACA, to South Africa.


Earlier, West Indies had a run of 18 home games without defeat from 1986 to 1990 and Sri Lanka 17 from 1996 to 1998.


In the on-going five-match series against India, the hosts have already sealed the series by winning the first four matches in a row.


Though many star Australian players have missed the series due to injury like Mitchell Starc; Steve Smith and Co managed to keep their winning momentum at home.
