New Delhi: On the back of a stellar performance in the recently concluded ODI series against Australia, star batsman Rohit Sharma surged into the top five of the ICC Player Rankings for ODI batsmen.

The world champions and number-one ranked side led by Steve Smith beat India 4-1, but the stylish right-hander accumulated 441 runs in the five matches with two centuries and a fifty (99).
