Brendon McCullum out for duck after becoming first to play 100 consecutive Tests since debut

The 34-year-old is the only third Kiwi after Stephen Fleming and Daniel Vettori to play 100 tests for New Zealand.

New Delhi: New Zealand skipper Brendon McCullum is not new to setting and breaking cricket records.

On Friday, Baz notched up another one that could be very hard to beat in years to come. McCullum become the first cricketer to play 100 consecutive Test matches since debut.

The 34-year-old is the only third Kiwi after Stephen Fleming and Daniel Vettori to play 100 Tests for his country.

McCullum will retire at the end of the ongoing two-match series against Australia. He made his debut against South Africa in 2004.

Unfortunately for the home side and fans, McCullum was dismissed for zero and his side was bowled out for 183 in the first innings.

Josh Hazlewood picked up four wickets for the visitors, while Peter Siddle and Nathan Lyon bagged three each.
