The swashbuckling West Indian had drawn flak from all corners when he openly flirted and asked out channel 10 presenter Mel McLaughlin during an interview.

It led to former Aussie cricketer Ian Chappell called for a ban against him.

The West Indian, after playing his last BBL match, posted an expletive-ridden rant on his Instagram account saying it was he who made Leagues, including the Big Bash League, and questioned his fellow players' timid approach.

Gayle showed what he keeps doing always and went out of BBL on a high with a 12-ball 50. He went on to equal the record set by Indian batsman Yuvraj Singh. Sadly, Gayle's side Melbourne Renegades could not make it to the summit clash.

Reports state that he might not return to play at the BBL.

This is what he had to say in his post in Instagram.
