Thakur replaced Shashank Manohar who stepped down from the position to take up the ICC chief's job.


Thakur, 41, has become the youngest President of the richest cricket board.


Senior BCCI vice-president C K Khanna chaired the Special General Meeting (SGM) and announced Thakur's name for the top job.


After the news broke that Thakur has become the 34th President of BCCI, cricket fraternity took to Twitter to congratulate the new President.
