DDCA makes payment of Rs 50 lakh as Entertainment Tax
The Delhi & Districts Cricket Association (DDCA) on Friday made a payment of Rs 50 lakh as Entertainment tax after directive from the Delhi High Court in regards to the upcoming fourth Test match between India and South Africa.
New Delhi: The Delhi & Districts Cricket Association (DDCA) on Friday made a payment of Rs 50 lakh as Entertainment tax after directive from the Delhi High Court in regards to the upcoming fourth Test match between India and South Africa.
DDCA treasurer Ravinder Manchanda confirmed the development today.
"We have made a payment of Rs 50 lakh as Entertainment tax for the corporate boxes at the Feroz Shah Kotla. This has been done as per the directive of the Delhi High Court," Manchanda told PTI today.
Subsequently, Manchanda wrote a letter to the Entertainment Tax officer of Delhi Government P K Goel, intimating him about the details of the payment that was made.
The tendering process will officially start from tomorrow and the entire process will be held under a former Deputy Comptroller and Auditor General (Deputy CAG) of government of India.
