SP calls for health services in Naxal affected are
District SP Raman Gupta urged the district health officer to adopt special health service programmes in Naxal-affected villages.
Shimoga: District Superintendent of Police Raman Gupta on Saturday urged the district health officer to adopt special health service programmes in Naxal-affected villages.
Participating in the district level meeting at the Deputy Commissioner`s office to review implementation of special developmental programs in such areas, he highlighted the need for health services, particularly in three gram panchayat limits of Bidargodu, Sulgodu and Nalur in Theerthahlli taluk at least once a week. Deputy Commissioner MV Vedamurthy appealed to taluk level officials to adopt programs to help youth in these villages in the age group 5 to 25 change their mindset to not be influenced by extremist ideas propogated by naxal groups.
