New Delhi: Hard-hitting Indian opener Virender Sehwag, who retired from international cricket on Tuesday, revealed that the only bowler he was scared of facing was legendary former Sri Lankan tweaker Muttiah Muralitharan.

“I was scared of facing only one bowler, that was Muttiah Muralitharan,” Viru told ANI.


The swashbuckling batsman didn't forget to thank his one-time skipper Sourav Ganguly as he stated: “Ganguly sacrificed his opening spot for me, he loved me and had confidence in me. So, thank you Sourav.”
