This comes as a huge blow for Mahendra Singh Dhoni's men just ahead of India's semi-final clash against West Indies on Thursday.

Yuvraj, who played a crucial role in India's win against Australia, had injured his ankle in the game.

India will have an option of either playing Manish or Ajinkya Rahane as proper batsmen in the southpaw's place.

Both batsmen, who had intense net session on Monday evening, will be eager to chip in with the goods against a starry Windies outfit.

Moreover, sources also claim that Pawan Negi, who is on the bench, could feature in the game against West Indies.
