New Delhi: Pakistan’s national cricket team Captain Shahid Afridi on Wednesday apologized to the nation over the team’s performance in the ICC World Twenty20 tournament in India.

Pakistan bowed out of the tournament in the group stage itself after managing to secure a solitary victory out of four matches.


In a video statement issued on a social media website, Afridi stated that he was sorry that the team’s performance was not up to par with the public’s expectations.


He also said that the Pakistan’s cricket team was not just a squad of 11 players but rather a team of the entire nation. Watch the entire video here.
