Yograj Singh strikes again! What is Mahendra Singh Dhoni trying to prove, asks Yuvraj Singh`s father
Yograj Singh blasted MS Dhoni yet again for the unfair treatment of his son Yuvraj.
Mohali: Yuvraj Singh's temperamental father Yograj is back in the news again for the same reason he was a couple of years go.
No, not for his solid role in Bhaag Milkha Bhaag but for slamming India's skipper MS Dhoni.
In an interview to Mid-Day on Saturday, the former India cricketer blasted Mahi yet again for his unfair treatment of Yuvraj.
"After not playing international cricket for two years and then making a comeback is fantastic — hats off to him. The captain expects him to perform and then suddenly drops him to No 7. What the f**k is happening? What is the captain trying to prove?," asked Yograj.
"When shuffling happens too often, questions arise in the mind (of the player) and that this is not cricket. A player wonders whether he is needed or not. The captain has to be very careful in what he is dealing with.
"I have told my son not to worry because his time will come and that is just around the corner. Let me see MS Dhoni being dropped for two years or anybody else getting dropped and making a comeback to the Indian team and whether they score a single run," Yograj further added.
He also stressed on the fact that Dhoni has not handed Yuvraj the ball despite turning wickets the team has played on.
"If he (Dhoni) does not like him, he should bloody well tell the selectors about it. If he has got anything personal with him, he can take it out, but by doing this, you are destroying the team. Imagine Yuvraj not bowling on such turning wickets where he has claimed 15 wickets in the 2011 World Cup. The world is watching this," said Yograj.
Dhoni did not bring Yuvraj in to the bowling attack even during the two warm-up matches ahead of the WT20. However, Yuvi did bowl in the Asia Cup.
After Yuvraj was not picked for India's World Cup squad in 2015, Yograj had launched a foul-mouthed tirade against Dhoni.
"Dhoni is arrogant. The way Ravana's proud came to an end, Dhoni will also suffer some day. He considers himself much above Ravana.
"I feel really ashamed when other cricketers come and tell me about Dhoni. Earlier, I used to think that people must be cribbing about Dhoni due to jealousy. But when the cricketers told me about him, I think I have never seen a terrible person like him ever in my life," he had said.
