Manohar was the favourite for the post after the death of Jagmohan Dalmiya last year, and here are some major changes brought by the Nagpur-based lawyer.

Taking quick action to prevent conflict of interest cases, Manohar circulated a three-page document within the board with a number of proposals that would prevent players from having business interest in a player management company.

To handle all matters related with conflict of interest, an ombudsman in Justice AP Shah was appointed by the BCCI.

As a part of the cleansing process, Manohar made the BCCI more transparent by putting up balance sheets and board constitution on official website.

Known for his ultra-clean image, Manohar appointed reputed accounting firms to audit BCCI's accounts as well as the ones submitted by the state associations.

Manohar let go of his power of the presidential vote during AGMs.

For the first time, the BCCI appointed a CEO – Rahul Johri, as recommended by the Lodha panel.

Sourav Ganguly, who recently became the chairman of the technical committee, had to give up on his role as a television commentator.

During Manohar's second stint, the number of members on IPL governing council board was trimmed from 23 to 5.
