From `Batty Bachao` to `Dhoni 1000 ka note`: Virender Sehwag rules cricket again as India toy with England at Mohali
Sehwag also commented on English tail-ender Gareth Batty`s plight against Indian bowlers.
New Delhi: For many Virender Sehwag is the best thing to ever happened in cricket. And even after hanging his boots, the former Indian opener continues to rule the sport with his epic one-liners and brilliant Twitter posts.
On Monday, while doing commentary during the third day of third Test between India and England at Mohali, Sehwag once again proved why he is everyone's favourite. The best part of Viru's commentary is his uncanny word-play ability. It will not be an exaggeration to say that he has redefined the usage of day-to-day Hindi words.
During the course of the commentary, Viru invoked the present economic situation vis-a-vis demonetization in the country, and compared retired Mahendra Singh Dhoni to Rs.1000 note, injured Wriddhiman Saha to Rs.500 note and come-back wicket-keeper Parthiv Patel to Rs.100 note.
Sehwag also commented on English tail-ender Gareth Batty's plight against Indian bowlers. Impressed with Viru's witticism, which many called Sehwagism, fans took to Twitter to hail his commentary.
At the end of day 3, India are in firm control of the match. Virat Kohli & Co have taken four English wickets and still have a lead of 56 runs in the first innings.
