India vs England, Mohali Test: Angry Ravichandran Ashwin removes Alastair Cook with magic delivery - WATCH
At the end of third day`s play, England were precariously placed having lost four wickets, and still needing 56 more runs to make India bat again.
New Delhi: Ravichandran Aswhin is not to be messed with, specially when he is bowling. This fact was learned hard way by the visiting English team on the third day of Mohali Test when skipper Alastair Cook became the victim of Ashwin's ire.
After conceding 134 runs in the first innings, England openers Cook and Joe Root arrived in the centre with a single-minded purpose – to bat as long as possible. But with an inspired Indian team ready to take on any challenge, skipper Virat Kohli soon employed his weapon of choice, Ashwin as early as the sixth over, and majority his deliveries were faced by Cook.
Cook survived some close calls, including a review in the tenth over. Nothing untoward happened for the visiting team. All these while, Cook's partner Joe Root was quietly disturbing Ashwin with a rather unusual tactics, by standing close the umpire.
An angry Ashwin made his story heard to umpire Chris Gaffaney in the start of the 14th over. The chatter continued for the second time, with Ashwin even stopping at his run-up. And the Indian bowler continued with Root sticking to his ground.
Determined but not defeated, Ashwin then produced a magical delivery which breached Cook's defence and crashed into the middle stump. Ashwin thus got the last laugh and celebrated with such wild abandon that his team-mates needed him to calm down.

It was Ashwin's first of three wickets today. He also accounted for Moeen Ali and Ben Stokes' wickets. At the end of third day's play, England were precariously placed having lost four wickets, and still needing 56 more runs to make India bat again.
