New Delhi: Inspirational cricketer Ravichandran Ashwin on Monday celebrated India's thumping win over England in the Visakhapatnam Test by sharing a cup of coffee with Indian Navy sailors.

The spin wizard, who once again produced a clinical performance to help India to a series leading victory, shared the news through a Twitter post. "On board the INS JALASHWA!! Had the cup of i had promised," he wrote.



There's limited knowledge about his "promise", but his gesture has earned him more respect from his fans, with many hailing the offie as a 'hero'.


According to reports, the ace spinner expressed his gratitude and appreciation to all the brave soldiers of the Armed Forces who are guarding the Nation.


During the interaction, as captured in the photo, Ashwin presented an autographed cricket bat to Eastern Naval Command and Rear Admiral Dasgupta, who presented the ENC Crest to the 30-year-old.


Rear Admiral B. Dasgupta, YSM, VSM, Flag Officer Commanding Eastern Fleet hosted Ashwin on board at INS Jalashwa, one of the frontline warships of the navy.


Earlier in the day, India registered a comprehensive 245-run victory over England in the second Test at the Dr. Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium.
