New Delhi: After leading India to five successive series wins, Test captain Virat Kohli on Tuesday took to Twitter to thanks his team-mates for giving all they have in their collective cause.
On the final day of the fifth and final Test against England, India produced a scintillating day of cricket to dimiss the visitors for a paltry 207. It helped India win the five-match series 4-0, with the lone drawn match coming at the series opener in Rajkot.
“These are the moments u cherish all your life. So proud of these guys for putting in all they had. This is more than a team.This is a family,” Kohli wrote on his Twitter handle.
The 28-year-old led the Indian cricket team to a wild celebration after picking up the last England wicket at Chennai's historic Chepauk.
Once Ravindra Jadeja took the wicket of Jake Ball, caught by triple-centurion Karun Nair at second slip off the last ball of the 88th over, Kohli grabbed a commemorative stump and ran with wild abundant, fisting the air and congratulating his team-mates.
