England, fighting to salvage some pride after losing the series, have produced a brilliant day of Test cricket with Moeen Ali registering his second hundred of the series. He was brilliantly supported by Root, who made 88 off 144 balls.
At Stumps, England were 284/4 with Ali unbeaten on 120 off 222 balls, and Ben Stokes at 5 off 29.
