On Christmas eve, Bollywood celebrities like Amitabh Bachchan, Akshay Kumar and Lara Dutta took to Twitter to wish "love and peace" to their friends and fans.
"Merry Christmas and a very happy New year, to all my Ef and to those that consider becoming the Ef .. love happiness peace and tranquility in all your lives .. remain well, healthy and take good care," Bachchan wrote on his blog. "I had just one request, don`t be extravagant, be giving, and don`t waste food... remember it`s all about the joy of giving this festive season. Eat, drink, give and make merry. Have a Merry Christmas!," Akshay said. For Lara Dutta and Shilpa Shetty, who are expecting their first child, it is sure a special Christmas. "This time it won`t be a White Christmas but It`s still time to be merry..ho ho ho a very merry Christmas to all of you my tweetos..Enjoy," Shetty tweeted.
"Christmas officially starting today!! Midnight mass...presents wrapped and ready to go under the tree, big family lunch tomorrow! Yeah!!," Dutta said. Actor Anupam Kher posted a picture of him wearing a Santa cap and standing in front of a Christmas tree. "OMG. The way you people are praising my Santa DP, I am petrified of going to my original face. But thanks anyway," Kher said. Actor-director Farhan Akhtar has double reasons to celebrate as his film `Don 2`, which hit the theatres yesterday, did well at the box office. "Thanks for the incredible feedback on the film. We`re glad to have entertained you... Do keep it coming... Merry Christmas," Akhtar tweeted. PTI
