New Delhi: Veteran Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh and discarded English cricketer Kevin Pietersen are reportedly among 12 players to have made available for the highest base price of INR 2 crore (approx $296,000) for the IPL players auction.

According to a report in ESPNcricinfo, these players with base price of Rs 2 crore feature in a 714-strong long list – accessed by ESPNcricinfo – which will be trimmed by January 25 to form the final pool of players for the auction.


 


The auction is scheduled for February 6 in Bangalore.


Ashish Nehra, Ishant Sharma, Mitchell Marsh, Dinesh Karthik, Stuart Binny, Sanju Samson and Dhawal Kulkarni are the other Indians who have put a reserved price of INR 2 crore against their respective names. Shane Watson and retired Michael Hussey are also in the same category.


 


In the upcoming auction, along with two new franchises – Rising Pune Super Giants (RPSG) and the yet-to-be-named Rajkot team, beleaguered Delhi Daredevils will once again look to sign key players after it released​ Yuvraj and Angelo Mathews, whom they bought for Rs 16 crore and 7.5 crores respectively last year.
