According to a report in the Times of India, Dravid will join the Delhi Daredevils camp as a mentor for the upcoming season.

The legendary batsman's discussions with the Delhi franchise are reportedly at an advanced stage.

“Dravid is keen to take up the role of a mentor but he is reluctant to be full-time coach. He has had a long season starting with the India `A' team in June and he just got free after the ICC U-19 World Cup last week. He wants to spend more time with his family as well,” a source close to the development told TOI.

However, the Delhi team's management wasn't willing to let out too much information.

“Things are in a speculative stage. We have a few other names going around as well. Dravid is definitely one of them. At this point, it's difficult to commit as the owners of the team are not in the country . Once they return, a final call will be taken,” a DD official told TOI.

Some reports also suggest that Dravid and some of his staff from the suspended Rajasthan Royals team help Delhi to strategize for the IPL auction.

Apart from former Rajasthan players like Karun Nair, Sanju Samson and Chris Morris, the Delhi team also includes Indian U-19 players Rishabh Pant, Khaleel Ahmed and Mahipal Lomror.
