CSK's had their 3-match winning streak snapped by KKR in Match 30, as the defending champions scripted a 7-wicket win. SRH come into this match after a 4-day break and a 20-run win over strugglers KXIP in Match 27.

A win for MS Dhoni's side will help them extend their lead at the top of the table by 2 points over RR, with a game in hand. While a comprehensive win for David Warner's men will see them rise upto 4th on the points table.

Over the years, the two-time champions have dominated this fixture with a head-to-head record of 4-1 over the Hyderabad franchise. SRH will carry happy memories from this corresponding fixture from last season when they pulled off their first ever win over CSK at Ranchi.

As two teams with a string of match winners in their ranks are pitted against each other, we pick out a key player from either side who would determine the outcome of Match 34.

MS Dhoni (CSK)

MS Dhoni may no longer be the power hitter he once was. But he still retains the same aura on walking out to bat every single time. The CSK skipper has scored 2790 with 15 fifties in 120 matches in the IPL. This season, the wicketkeeper-batsman has scored 175 runs with a fifty in 8 matches. Incidentally, his only half-century so far came against SRH when the two teams met earlier in the season. Considered the best finisher of his generation, MS Dhoni will pose a big threat to SRH's strong bowling attack.

Trent Boult (SRH)

SRH is widely regarded as the franchise with the strongest bowling line-up in IPL 2015. Trent Boult leads the pace battery of Dale Steyn, Ishant Sharma, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Praveen Kumar. The left-arm pacer has picked up 8 wickets in 5 matches at an economy rate of 7.35 and an average of 18.37. The Kiwi has been successful bowling up top as well as during the death and has been David Warner's go-to man. Boult will be a critical factor for SRH in Match 34 as he leads their bowling against a batting-heavy CSK side.
