IPL 2016, SRH vs RPS - Ashish Nehra once again proved to be game changer for David Warner & Co
RPS needed 14 runs to win off the final ball, but Nehra dismissed Thisara Perera and Adam Zompa, while Dhoni was run-out.
New Delhi: After a slow start to the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2016, veteran Indian speedster Ashish Nehra has picked momentum at the right time for Sunrisers Hyderabad.
Nehra, who picked just two wickets from the first four matches of this season, played a crucial role for Hyderabad in the next two matches where he picked six wickets.
While he was adjudged the Man of the Match for his stupendous spell of 3/15 against Mumbai Indians, it was his fantastic final over against MS Dhoni-led Rising Pune Supergiants which gave Hyderabad a four-run win over Pune.
RPS needed 14 runs to win off the final ball, but Nehra dismissed Thisara Perera and Adam Zompa, while Dhoni was run-out.
Earlier in the innings, Nehra also dismissed Saurabh Tiary for 9.
Throughout the tournament, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Mustafizur Rahman were the ones doing the job of picking wickets at regular intervals for Hyderabad. But keeping in mind Nehra's performance in the last two matches, the batsmen should be wary of the damage this Delhi pacer can cause in the business end of the tournament.
Hyderabad are currently the table-toppers in the points table and Nehra for sure has had a role to play.
