New Delhi: Team India director Ravi Shastri on Tuesday referred to Jagmohan Dalmiya as the undisputed heavyweight champion of BCCI.

"I believe Jagmohan Dalmiya was undisputed heavyweight champion of BCCI. His contribution was massive. He was very passionate about the game. For him it was the BCCI, and thats it," he told ANI.


Shastri is currently with the Indian team, which is training at National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru.


Dalmiya passed away on Sunday night following a massive cardiac arrest. He was 75.


The BCCI is now expected to hold a Special General Meeting to elect an interim president.
